Congratulations to our award winners this week. You will receive your Bronze awards next week and feature in our online assembly,
We have been learning how to be UPstanders if we come across bullying. We know we can choose from four Upstanding options. 1. Be a buddy 2. Interrupt 3. Speak out 4. Tell an adult. We hope you enjoy our UPstanders song. We made some posters to remind everyone to be an UPstander so we can stamp out bullying. Some of our students went to help in the veggie garden today. They enjoyed spending time with their Year 6 Buddies.
We have been learning how to become Upstanders in Kindy this week. We learnt that bullying is a deliberate, repeated action with the intention to hurt the victim. Upstanders can help defeat bullies by choosing from four upstanding actions. 1.Be a Buddy, 2. Interrupt, 3. Speak out 4. Tell someone. We are all keen to become Upstanders!
Each class in the school has been assigned a garden bed in our school garden. We will plant vegetables, water them and look after them. Later in the year, we will harvest the vegetables from all of the garden beds and use them to make a huuuuge pot of soup to share - this is very exciting for us all! |
